“I already go to another provider but I’d like to change to Hearing Sense”
All you have to do is contact us on 8331 8047 and we will transfer your file through the Government Portal. There is no charge to transfer your file and any current maintenance services simply transfer with you so you won’t need to pay your maintenance fee again.
The Hearing Sense team would be delighted to help you with this process so please call us on 8331 8047. We can see you in our clinics located at Norwood, Unley and Salisbury.
What happens after I transfer?
At Hearing Sense, we like to get to know our clients and understand how their hearing loss is affecting their lives. We also want to make sure your hearing aids are helping you. So we’ll arrange a time for a comprehensive, free hearing test assessment. It won’t cost you anything and because our hearing tests are so thorough, you might discover some things about your hearing loss you didn’t know.
We’ll also use your first appointment as an opportunity to adjust your hearing aids to ensure they are assisting you.
Visit our Hearing Test page to learn more about it.
Eligible for a new hearing aid?
If you are eligible to claim again for new hearing aids under the Australian Commonwealth Government Office of Hearing Services program, we will offer you the widest range of hearing devices to help you make the best choice. You’ll then be able to trial your choice in “real life” for 30 days to ensure they are the best hearing aids for you. See our 30 Day Trial page for more information.
What happens to my Hearing Aid Battery & Maintenance program?
If your Hearing Aid Battery & Maintenance program is up-to-date, it will automatically transfer over to us – with no extra fee to pay. We then happily look after your hearing aid battery supply and any repairs you may need for your existing hearing aids. See our Batteries and Service page for more information. In addition, all your appointments will continue to be free.
Get the hearing aids that suit you best with our range of payment options
The Hearing Sense team want you to have the hearing aids that suit you best and we don’t want the price to get in the way. So when it comes to payments, there are a few things you should investigate:
- If you have private health insurance, ask your fund how much you are entitled to. If you are still employed, you may also like to check with your accountant to see if you can claim hearing aids on your tax return.
- If you receive a pension, have a DVA white card for hearing or are a Gold Card holder, you are entitled to free hearing services as Hearing Sense are accredited providers under the Australian Commonwealth Government Office of Hearing Services program: Pensioner & DVA
- If you have work-related hearing loss or have ever had a WorkCover claim for hearing, you may be entitled to highly advanced hearing aids at no cost to you as well as a payout. We specialise in WorkCover claims and can help you with this.
- We also offer Ezidebit, an interest free payment plan because sometimes paying the upfront cost for hearing aids can be difficult. Ezidebit allows you to spread your hearing aid payments into more manageable chunks – up to 6 months. We have many clients who use this payment plan.
For more information, ask us about our Ezidebit payment option when you make your hearing appointment.
